In 2015, Kaori Tokuhisa joined CDCB as a genomic data analyst with main responsibilities in quality control, customer service, data loads to the database and certification of new nominators, laboratories, and national evaluation centers. Kaori obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at Washington State University in 2009. She earned a Master’s in Animal Breeding and Genetics at University of Georgia in 2011 under Dr. Ignacy Misztal. During her Master’s program, Kaori analyzed mortality and culling data of Holstein in different regions. Upon graduation, she worked as a quantitative data analyst at PIC (Genus).

A new milestone was achieved on March 5 – that’s when the 5 millionth individual genotype was recorded in the national dairy cooperator database.
