Individual Traits

CDCB is responsible for producing Predicted Transmitting Ability values for nearly 50 individual traits and indices in the U.S. This included production, fertility, health, type and more.

The cornerstone index produced by CDCB is Lifetime Net Merit $. Additional index options that might be a better fit for individual farms include Cheese Merit $, Fluid Merit $, and Grazing Merit $.
